She can provide guidance in times of distress, help you identify patterns that might be holding you back, develop effective coping strategies, and empower you to make meaningful changes.
Nikki holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Victoria and a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Her experience includes over 6 years of work with youth and adults, integrating a client-centered and harm reduction approach. Nikki strives to understand each person within the context of their unique life circumstances, viewing health and healing holistically, with an emphasis on the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.
In therapy, Nikki draws from an integrative, evidence-based approach, incorporating client-centered, cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic techniques. This adaptability allows her to tailor sessions to your unique needs and goals. Her goal is to foster a validating environment where you can explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without fear, while uncovering past influences on your present.
Nikki would be honored to support you on your journey of healing and growth. She offers sessions in person, virtually, and is available on weekends to accommodate your needs.
