Our clinic was founded and is led by Alisha Stetchman, a compassionate and skilled registered clinical counsellor. With a dedication to excellence in the fields of psychology and sexology, Alisha's clinical experience, biomedical based research, and specialized psychosexual education forms the foundation of her practice. As a mother of two young children and a wife, Alisha dearly understands the complexities of relationships, valuing the significance of nurturing intimate connections. Her commitment to evidence-based and current approaches ensures that clients receive the highest quality care, tailored to their unique needs.

Alisha offers specialized support in sex therapy and couples counseling, ensuring high-quality care for individuals and couples alike. Alisha’s areas of expertise are in the following areas:

  • Male and female sexual dysfunction attributed to trauma, libido fluctuations, pain, sexual assault, shame, physical complications, and related disorders.

    • Including but not limited to: erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, vestibulitis, vaginismus, vulvodynia, and anorgasmia.

  • Navigating the complexities of compulsive and/or problematic sexual behaviors.

  • Compassionate care for female concerns, including PMS, PMDD, menopause, pregnancy, early motherhood, infertility, miscarriage, and more.

  • Expansive and tailored psychosexual education to discover and enhance sexual quality, pleasure, and passion individually and in your relationship.

  • Navigating the relationship into non-traditional structures (ie. transitioning to a polyamorous relationship or consensual nonmonogamy).

  • Unconditional support and education in the exploration of kink and fetish for individuals and couples.

  • Assisting couples in managing both solvable and unsolvable relationship challenges.

  • Delving into uncharted territory to unveil lost or undiscovered shared meanings within your relationship or personal life.

  • Providing expert guidance and support during perinatal transitions, encompassing mental, sexual, and relationship changes and challenges.

Qualifications

  • Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology- Yorkville University

  • Medical and Developmental Aspects of Sexual Health (including specialized CE in Sexual Pain Management): University of Michigan

  • Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SAR): Last completed in 2024

  • Cultural and Biological Underpinnings of Sexual Health (15 hr CE)

  • Intensive Sex Therapy Training Program- University of Guelph

  • The Rise of Rough Sex 2024 Plenary: The University of Michigan

  • Gottman Method Professional Training Levels 1 &2- Gottman Institute

  • Gottman 7 Principles Leadership Training- Gottman Institute
